Many people have asked me how to reconcile Feng Shui with religion. There are people who know Feng Shui can help; yet they hesitate to consult a Feng Shui master because they are uncertain if Feng Shui will contradict their faith. click here to read more |

The psychobabble of Feng Shui steps sprightly along with the rest of the New Age mythos: With intention, and with clutter out of your way, you can alter the universe.
Intuitive Feng Shui relies on the psychic sensitivity of a practitioner (an unknown quantity at best, unless your practitioner has undergone some sort of testing to determine their receptivity) and a perceptual skill William Spear called first impressions that detects so-called "energy patterns" in a home or office. Unfortunately First Impressions has some conceptual flaws. If it is the foundation of Feng Shui analysis, then all our mothers were born Feng Shui consultants. It is a fact of life that some time in your life your mother will walk into your home and complain about your inadequate housekeeping and announce it as the reason you can't get your dream job or find a mate. Some of us think so little of ourselves that we fall for this, which is why sensitive New Age types pay complete strangers good money to hear the same verbal abuse their Mom provides for free. click here to read more |

Most Western ideas about Feng Shui are utterly wrong and generally based on a variety of weird concepts pulled from European folklore and New Age marketing. Out of the entire scientific system, only a fragment of actual Feng Shui knowledge has reached the public. Despite all of the books rushing into print claiming "Feng Shui this" and "Feng Shui that," the theoretical depth and full potential of the authentic material remain virtually unknown to the public. click here to read more |

When we think of a classic haunted house, images from the movies come up. Sometimes the haunted house is depicted as a dark, dingy, old, dilapidated house, secluded and covered with cobwebs. Oddly enough, these really are some of the "yin" attributes which can contribute to a house attracting a ghost.click here to read more |

When I first started speaking publicly about feng shui in 1992, I was very enthusiastic about promoting it as a natural science, mostly because I believed it to be so. I was also reacting to the mounting trendiness of feng shui, as it was being marketed by people who referred to it as "magic" or a spiritual practice linked to Tantric Buddhism. I could not stand these comparisons because I knew they were not true and I also felt they tarnished the integrity of feng shui.click here to read more |

I notice an awful lot of people are searching for BaZi calculators. Hmmm. Hadn’t realised they were quite that hard to find.
There are several free websites out there that offer free BaZi calculators (requiring the requisite sign up before you can use it but rarely asking for money).click here to read more |

Here's a question that's become big with my clients recently: How can I use "green" principles while I'm getting organized? Going green, getting organized, and generating good ch'i in your space actually go together beautifully. They play equal parts in our efforts to live in harmony and balance with the world, while simultaneously creating personal spaces that are comfortable, beautiful and well-organized. The truth is that it's satisfying indeed to achieve all three of these goals at once!click here to read more |

I have been so immersed in Feng Shui recently that I'd lost sight of the fact that not everyone understands its benefits as well as I do. But just the other day I discovered my mistake when a good friend asked me, "What exactly is Feng Shui, anyway? And how can it help me?"

With a booming demand for classical Feng Shui services and knowledge all over the world, the business of Feng Shui is becoming more and more competitive. Naturally, Hong Kong and Taiwan, the main source of much of today’s knowledge in classical Feng Shui, is where the battle to attract students and clients is most intense.
